I started cooking when my husand and I got engaged in 2006.  I bought a Cooking Light magazine and never looked back.  We now have a stud of a little man and we are a very busy family.  I try to cook a new recipe every night - although sometimes that doesn't  happen.  I am a firm believer that more people would cook a recipe if they knew what it looked like.  You will find that each recipe on my site has 1-2 photos!  I even bought a fancy new camera to take better pictures!

I believe there are 3 results for cooking something new:
(1) Could be the worst thing you ever put in your mouth!
(2) You may decide you like it - just change a few things.
(3) Or it could end up being the most amazing thing you have ever tasted or made yourself.
Take a chance - you never know what you can do until you do it!!

Jalapeno Cilantro Slaw

If you are looking for a fresh summer recipe, look no further.  This has a crisp and clean flavor.  This would definitely be a fun new recipe to pull out for the 4th of July!

Red Velvet Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies

Oh my, where to start with this recipe.  I logged on to "Baked Perfection" in hopes of finding the perfect dessert for the night.  This was it!  Very easy to put together and oh so yummy!

I have been out of the recipe posting game for almost a year.  I have been cooking but not nearly enough.  Our new little man is due the Monday after Thanksgiving and work has kept me crazy busy.  I hope I will be able to handle our new addition, our super smart little pre-k man, and my work load.  I can't believe 2012 is almost over!!!
